As you descend into the picturesque valley, the Town of Sundre blossoms before your eyes. With the Bearberry Creek flowing into the Red Deer River, the town is rich with tremendous natural beauty. Situated at the base of the glorious Rocky Mountain foothills, its' residents are proud to call Sundre their home. Sundre is 40 km west of Olds, 130 km northwest of Calgary and 100 km southwest of Red Deer.
 With a range of educational, recreational and health care facilities, Sundre is self-sufficient. One of the yearly attractions is the Sundre Pro Rodeo, held in the third week in June, the Sundre Parade, held in conjunction to this event is greatly enjoyed by all who attend. An assortment of camping and RV facilities are available in and around the Town.
It's primary industries are petroleum, agriculture and tourism. In fact, tourism is one of Sundre's fastest growing industries, as the year round mountain, team and water based seasonal activities become better known. Sundre really prides itself in its service rich, small town, friendly atmosphere, and these rare qualities make it a great location to visit for a vacation, and a better one to live!
Today, Sundre has a population of over 2,000 residents and it's land mass covers over 7 square kilometers.
